 Common Questions

Just a few helpful facts to those people who are new to this sort of thing.

[All because I was bored]

1. How do I make my character?
mod
A: You must post information in the Character Bio board. There is a sample charater bio thread which will at least give you the information which you should basically give.

It is recommended that you post at least a paragraph or two in appearance, personality and history because these are the most important aspects in any kind of roleplay.

2. Where do I get my first pokemon and how?

A: At Professor Acorn's Lab. There is a thread that say 'The Lab and Starters'. In it is listed the available starter pokemon as well as the starter pack included. You must roleplay to get your pokemon.

3. What if the pokemon I like isn't in the Starters?

A: Then tough luck, you won't be able to get it then, at least not right now. There is of course the chance that you will be able to capture it from the wild.

4. How do I battle?

A: Your trainer could either command you pokemon and the pokemon does its move. You cannot say that the attack immediately hit.

Ex.

Good: "Torchic use your scratch" Bob said to his pokemon. The Torchic went towards the pidgey, aiming a scratch at the pokemon. Bob hoped that the attack would hit.

Bad: "Torchic use Scratch" Bob said. The Torchic ran at the Pidgey, hitting it with scratch and killing it.

5. How does my pokemon level up?

A: This was enlisted in the rules but what the hey. Usually it is a mod who will tell you how many levels the pokemon would grow. Depending on the opposing pokemon's level that would be the equal amount. In an event that the mod makes a mistake, kindly remind the mod of the rules and he/she would probably get on it immediately.

6. My threads haven't been answered, what should I do?

A: When you threads haven't been answered for three days straight, PM one of the mods and alert he/she of it. Make sure that the thread hasn't been answered for some time since it would be very annoying for the mod when mass PMs are sent for replies.

7. Will a tell me when my pokemon learns a new move?

A: A mod or admin will alert you of this. Serebii.net

[Any more question, post here and I'll try to answer them]
